What colors do you offer your railing system in? Can you match my project?

We offer a multitude of colors for our railings to help you match your existing structure. Four colors are standard: white, clear anodized, light bronze and Imperial chrome. A whole palette of other colors can be done as a special order.

Do any of the railing systems that you offer come without a top handrail?

We created two railing systems to meet the demand of many who require a railing that spans a good distance without a bunch of uprights interfering with the view. These systems can span long distances due to a handrail on top giving the system structural support. We have found that our customers all appreciate the comfort of a top railing. Surveys also turned up that most people like to rest their arms on their railing and look out. As a structural glass system is about triple the price, we don't offer it as most don't want it or the cost puts it out of budget.

Can your system be used for a stair handrail?

Our system is best suited to decks, balconies and other such guard rail situations.

What is the length of each glass panel?

The glass panels are custom made to length so as to be symmetrically correct and achieve the cleanest look. For ease of installation we do not exceed 4 feet panes.

How are the railings joined?

For ease of installation the railings are mechanically joined at the corners with an internal plate. They are not and do not need to be welded.

What material is best for my glass railing system, anodized aluminum or stainless steel?

We chose anodized aluminum for our railing systems due to its natural corrosion resistance. Upper scale boat masts are made of anodized aluminum for this reason and survive constant salt water air exposure. As many of our systems are installed on costal front properties, it was a natural choice. There are over 150 different grades of stainless steel, most of which will tarnish if not continually maintained. The highest grades, which resist tarnishing the most, would greatly escalate the cost of our system so are not used. In order to provide a beautiful shinny finish very similar to stainless steel, without any of the setbacks, we have developed a finish called “Imperial chrome”.

As your railings system has a continuous bottom track, how do you allow for water runoff?

Upon request we can supply 3/16 spacers that will allow for this.

I notice your system has a slight gap between glass panes; how big is that gap?

In order to easily install and level each pane and to allow for expansion of materials, our system has about a 1 1/4” gap between panes.
